Modelling in 3D with SharkCAD Pro
SharkCAD Pro is a highly versatile design product that revolutionises the ease of 3D content creation, suitable for prototypes, 3D printing, rendering, animation, and precise manufacturing, all within one seamlessly integrated package. Some of these advanced 3D design tools are:

Native Translators Updated:
SharkCAD Windows supports native translators for SolidWorks, SolidEdge, NX, Inventor, ProE, and CATIA. These translators are now updated to support newer versions.
Modeling Kernel Updated:
Dassault’s ACIS geometry engine was updated, addressing performance and stability issues for core functions such as booleans, shelling, blending, chamfering, skinning, and lofting.
2D Dimension and Constraints:
SharkCAD now supports the D-Cubed Constraint Solver to manage 13+ dimension and geometric relationships between 2D shapes including tangent, coincident, and concentric conditions. These relationships are used to remember design intent of 2D sketches, which typically drive 3D solids. Modifying any object within a system of constraints will update all other dependent objects accordingly.
The Skinning tools have extended support for centreline paths. Centreline paths allow you to control the flow between skin sections resulting in less sections needed to describe complex shapes.
LightWorks PhotoRender Support of Imported Textures:
Texture materials imported using the OBJ, 3MF, 3DS, and SketchUp data translators are now recognised using the photo rendering features of SharkCAD including screen renders as well as high resolution output files.
High Resolution Printing with Textures:
Utilising special features in our photo rendering tools, 3D models with textures now support high resolution prints.
3D Print Tools
SharkCAD Pro includes 3D printing tools to prepare and validate designs to make them 3D printer ready. The printing tools will check for common errors that will save you time and money.

Surface From Laws:
The surface from laws tool enables the creation of NURB shapes using parametric formulas. Custom shapes such as paraboloids, barrel/hour glass springs, twisted tubes, and strips are now possible plus over 20 examples to spur the imagination.
This new feature replaces a corner edge with a bevel, typically for decorative purpose. The bevel starts and ends along the edge by a user specified distances.
Apples special edge treatments such as coves, rounds, Ogee, and Bullnose with support for parameters such as beads and offsets.
Convert lines and polylines to arcs, circles, ellipses, and splines. Useful for sharing data with plasma or water jet CNC systems or efficient extrusion into 3D solids.
The 3D Manufacturing Format (3MF) is a 3D printing format that allows design applications to send full-fidelity 3D models to other applications, platforms, services, and printers. Supported by 3D Systems, AutoDesk, and Microsoft, this new V11 file format is in a position to be the long-term replacement of the STL.
Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is an XML-based vector image format for two-dimensional graphics with support for interactivity and animation. The SVG specification provides an alternative vector format to Adobe Illustrator.
Tool Icon Sizing:
You can now modify a tool palette to use larger or smaller icons. Right click on the tool bar header to display a popup menu for “Change Icon Size”. This menu now provides options for 64, 32, 24 and 16 pixel sized icons. The default icon size is 32×32.
A new command to duplicate a layer and all the objects in that layer is now available through Concept Explorer. To access this command, place your cursor over the layer you want to duplicate, right click, and select the Duplicate command.
Woodworking & Architectural Tools:
SharkCAD Pro includes tools to speed up woodworking designs. You can quickly create otherwise tedious joints such as Dado joints and miter joints.
The furniture that you design might just be for your new house or office. The plans for those buildings can be created with SharkCAD Pro as well as 3D Views.
